03 Collection

For over twenty years, mounir fatmi has built a collection of contemporary art featuring iconic figures such as Marcel Duchamp, Joseph Beuys, and Andres Serrano. This collection also encompasses forms of primitive and folk art, reflecting a remarkable diversity of artistic expression. The Foundation is committed to continuing this tradition by acquiring works from emerging artists in Morocco. These acquisitions aim to enrich and diversify the collection while providing a crucial platform for visibility to young local talents. Concurrently, the foundation plans to make this collection accessible to the public through various exhibitions organized in museums and foundations across Morocco.

Nothing is immediately obvious with mounir fatmi’s art; everything takes time to sink in, emerging after a delay as something else entirely. This is because it withholds information before releasing it at the last minute, if at all.
