Born in Tangier, he lives and works between Palma de Mallorca and Tangier. He studied at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, the Academy of Arts in Rome and the Casablanca art school. He has received the Uriöt Prize in Amsterdam, the Grand Prix Léopold Sédar Senghor in 2006, the Cairo Biennale Prize in 2010, and the Silver Plane Prize at the Altai Biennale in Moscow in 2020.

The Foundation mounir fatmi is grateful to all those who have made its realization possible. Thanks to their passion and tireless support, the Foundation has been able to see the light and begin its journey. The Founding Members have laid the foundation with a clear vision and a strong commitment to culture and art, while the Board Members have provided invaluable guidance and inspiring leadership.

The Foundation mounir fatmi is the result of a collective effort and dedication of these extraordinary people, who believed in the mission and goals of the Foundation, helping to create a place of growth, innovation and inspiration. Foundation board
Mostafa Aghrib is the Director of the American Friends of the Arts in North Africa and former Director of the Museum of Contemporary African Art and The Marrakech Museum for Photography and Visual Arts. After studying Computer Sciences in Morocco, Information Science at Paris X, Social Sciences at Louvain-la-Neuve, he served as Director of multiple foundations and NGO’s in Morocco, Europe and USA.
- Mostafa Aghrib
Born in Rome, she studied Interior Architecture and Art History at Sapienza University in Rome and she spent a year on an Erasmus exchange at Sorbonne University in Paris. In 2016, she did an internship at the Quirinale Palace in Rome as an expert guide for historical-artistic visits. Since 2018, she has been working as a project assistant at Studio Fatmi.

Born in Lille, he lives and works in Paris. He is a digital entrepreneur with a passion for art, both as an enthusiast and a collector. With extensive expertise in information technology, he excels as an information systems architect and a specialist in AI project development.
